| 2 cups | self-raising flour, sieved |
| 2 tablespoons | cream (you can use butter instead if you have no cream) |
| 1 | onion, finely chopped |
| 2 large sprigs | parsley |
| 4 teaspoons | dried herbs; OR a tablespoon or two of chopped fresh herbs |
| 2 tablespoons | grated cheese |
| freshly ground pepper |
| milk to mix |
Mix cream into flour (or rub butter in). Add cheese, herbs, pepper and onion, and mix. Mix with a little bit of milk to form a dough. Knead lightly.
Press out dough to 1 inch thickness. Cut out rounds. Arrange on tray with sides touching, brush with milk (and sprinkle with cheese, if you like).
Cook in 220C oven for 10-15 minutes. **Oven must be very hot from start. Turn it on to preheat well before you start making the dough. **
Yet another one of my mother's recipes. Thanks Mum!
